Who we are
I like to say I’ve been kicking round the voluntary sector for 20 years, but that's just a bit of vanity about my age. It’s really closer to 30 years!
Marcus Green, Managing Director
In the early days I ran political campaigns and developed a thorough knowledge of Westminster, local politics and all points in between. I had to organise Ministerial visits up to Prime Ministerial level, at the same time organising leaflet deliveries in the dead of winter. I learned a load about motivation and team work and developed an expertise in Albanian politics too.
It was a lot of fun and has given me enough after dinner yarns to last a lifetime.
I then moved into the mainstream of charities and became volunteer co-ordinator of a regional charity, where I rapidly realised that I could help streamline the organisation and led a review of how we managed the team of 70, which led to me being redeployed as effectively a deputy CEO.
Following this I became CEO of a charity for the visually impaired which was a big challenge and I delivered their 3-year strategy in under 2, after this it was time to move to becoming CEO of a hospice.
This was a big move and I threw my heart and soul into it. The team did some great stuff, we revitalised the flagging capital appeal and raised another £1.8m to build a new hospice, we vastly increased the number of patients coming through the door.
After doing the job that was needed, I realised that I could have done with the help I now offer to charities in Gloucestershire, and Bowbridge Green was born...

Chris Hickey – HR
Chris has been a Management & HR consultant for 20 years following a successful career in the public and voluntary sectors. Chris has extensive senior management experience at strategic and operational levels having been the CEO of a national charity and was a Non Executive Director in the NHS for more than 8 years. He has a particular interest in governance and was a member of the Gloucestershire County Council Governor Training team for 8 years. He regularly provides training for VCS organisations on Managing Finances, Recruitment and all aspects of governance for VOSCUR and GAVCA. An experienced manager and adviser and an inspirational facilitator & trainer.
Jenny Eastwood – PR, Media and Editorial
Jenny has been editor of a regional newspaper, she has more than 15 years experience in the media industry having worked as a journalist for Northcliffe, Local World, Trinity Mirror and the Press Association. She became the first female editor of the Gloucester Citizen in 2013 and digital editor of Gloucestershire Live in 2017. She founded the Believe in Gloucester Awards in 2013. She also sits on the board of Marketing Gloucester and is a trustee of the Pied Piper Appeal.
James Payton - Actor, Voice Coach
James Payton is best known by audiences as Frank Longbottom in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and as Hitler in Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger. He cites Peter Sellers, Alec Guinness, David Niven and Noël Coward amongst his influences and has appeared on your screen in Film and TV in credits ranging from The Look of Love to Footballers Wives.
James also works in film as a stand-in and cast reader for many well known actors, such as Christophe Waltz, Robert Downey Jr, Jake Gyllenhaal, and is part of the Fantastic Beasts family in this capacity too including as a stand-in/cast reader for Dan Fogler, Jude Law and Johnny Depp.
His, other, other job is as a snow technician and production credits include: Wonder Woman, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, Game of Thrones, Goodbye Christopher Robin, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and many more.
Outside of the film industry, James uses his particular set of skills to help both actors and non-actors with confidence building in voice, speech, and confidence.
He still just about lives in London, even though he should know better. People seem to like him but he's not sure why either.
